Mary and I met through blogging way back when she and Will started out together on their first blogging adventure, but, last summer, just a few weeks before the Pershing family was in the car accident, God enabled us to meet in real life. It was such a blessing – - – We shared a meal and a time of building each other up in the LORD, talked kid-raising and homeschooling, and our families spent time getting to know each other.
It was as if we were meeting extended family for the first time after getting to know each other through letters for a few years – and indeed, we were! I consider Mary, Will, Annie, Josh, and Michael members of my very own family – - – and I praise God that He brought us together as sisters in the LORD and partners in ministry.

My precious sister in the LORD Mary is a woman who lives her life looking for opportunities to bless and encourage other people; she embodies the Godly virtues of grace and joy! If you have been reading her posts this week, you will know that her wedding anniversary is coming up this Wednesday, the 10th.
What is different about this anniversary is that it will be her first one to celebrate without her husband, Will, here on earth beside her. . . .
Even though Will has graduated from here on earth to be with the LORD, I know that Mary’s heart will be tender and reflective tomorrow as she looks back and remembers the blessings of God upon her the day she became Mrs. William Pershing and their two homes united into one new family.
April 10th is Mary and Will’s 3rd anniversary, and I want to involve all of you in creating a special gift for Mary.
Through our shared efforts I pray that we can encourage her and give her a tangible reminder of how her marriage and the amazing testimony of God’s saving Grace has touched so many people through this blog and the Facebook page community.
